1. Introduction

The Family of God, multi-nations, cultures, denominations and ages, gathered as "One". We stood strong in the "Power of One" with unity of faith, unity of hope and unity of vision reiterating our commitment to God's desire for one church, one body and one family (John 17:21), standing in the gap, undivided, looking for God's divine intervention in the affairs of men.

2. Capital Region Nation Day of Prayer began at Sunrise

The Day of Prayer began at sunrise at 6:00am! This was a colloborative effort with many assigned intercessors, pastors and leaders. Pastor Cheryl Walker was the head leader of the intergenerational team.

Dance Warriors NYC pray at the landmarks in New York City at sunrise monthly. We are expanding the Jerico Prayer Movement (DMV monthly at DC area landmarks) which will now include the dance warriars in New York City. The red and white garments of the dance warrriars were chosen as symbols of the grace of Jesus' blood and the purity of his character to cover our land. Blue flags "The Balm" represened healing; used symbolically spreading a covering over the youth. All flags represented the raising up of kingdom standards.

3b. Focus Areas

The theme of "Fostering Kingdom Relationships" was based on Philippians 2:2 that encouraged leadership / believers to be of the same mind, same love, united in spirit, and intent on one purpose. Focused discussion was held around the tables which encouraged unity in the body of Christ.

4. Voices of Unity Choir Leading the Assembly in Worship

4a. Heavenly Sound Released

As Elijah, who didn't say he saw, he said he "Heard" (1 Kings 18:15) the sound.

A heavenly sound was released through the worship, prayer, declarations and caused a change in the atmosphere; even as for Elijah. The results were an ushering in a spirit of faith, hope and unity created a power to persist, endure worldly pressures. People heard the sound on their way to the West Lawn; this caused them to quicken their steps in anticipation. Drawn by the sound tourists, visitors sitting on the wall all around the parameter, including the balcony of the Capitol, all were refreshed by the sound.

The Voices of Unity Choir, directed by Pastor Diane Robinson, led the assembly in worship; all the singers were of the same mind, same love, unified in spirit. All together, multi-nations and generations were used as channels for conveying the heavenly sound on earth releasing healing and the character of God over our nation and world.
