Ministry of Prayer

The Jericho Prayer Movement (JPM) is a prayer network and a prayer movement, where Christians in the Washington DC area, pastors and laity alike, are united across ethic and generational lines to pray!

JPM is a move of God in the earth, embracing every tongue, tribe, people and nation. (Rev 5:9) Jew and gentile together as one new man in Christ Yeshua (Eph 2:15), an interdenominational, intercultural connection which forms a bridge of unity to release the power and light of God through worship and prayer, manifesting God's light in the earth and releasing the commanded blessing of God "Life Forevermore" (Psalm 133)

On-Going Prayer Movement — Watching With Him

The power of pray-ers is resident in our "Lord", and the effectiveness as prayer is dependent on our relationship with "Him" and each other in the body of believers. Aligning ourselves under "His" authority to speak/pray "His" word and do h"His" will (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

What?

  • Bringing together multi-cultural, multi-generational, multi-denominational, multi-national, cross-generation of believers to pray for our nations, cities, communities, families, current and next generation of leaders

Who?

  • Senior Pastors, Ministry Leaders, Future Leaders, Intercessors (ALL Believers) praying, i.e. supplications, petitions and making proclamation and decrees, as received from the heart of God

How?

  • Corporateness — Manifesting the power of prayer

Why?

  • The destiny of the world is given into the hands of prayer
  • Taking our position, as children of God ... that we may influence change and enforce God's authority for "His" Kingdom purposes
  • An instrument for Christ's Glory in the earth — "And the nations will know and understand that I am the Lord, the Sovereign Ruler ..." (Ezekiel 36:32b)

When?

  • Jericho Prayer Movement — first Saturday of every month (varied locations) 6:00 am - 7:00 am
  • Pastors' Prayer via Conference Call — every Friday morning — 6:30 am - 7:30 am
  • Corporate Prayer at the Gatepost — every 4th Thursday of the month, 7:00-8:30pm (see below)

Goals

  • Next level praying — coordinated prayer going before ministry — prayer groups forming a spiritual watch that is more offensive than defensive
  • Effectual prayers and intercessors that establish prayer shields of protection around neighborhoods, cities, nations
  • Sustained prayer that gains momentum and cries out for revival
  • Fervent prayer that glorifies Jesus Christ as Lord — evokes God's mercy and forgiveness for our nation and world

Conclusion

  • When believers pray aligned, the presence of God is perceived
  • When believers pray aligned, the power of God is received
  • When believers pray aligned, the purpose of God is achieved

Corporate Prayer at the Gatepost

Prayer at the Gatepost meets every 4th Thursday of the month, 7:00-8:30pm. This set time of prayer brings together many church leaders and prayer ministries in the Washington DC area. This is a time of effectual prayer and intercession. The goal is next level praying of visible prayer groups throughout the area which forms a spiritual watch that is more offensive than defensive; coordinated prayer going before ministry.

House of Prayer at the Gatepost
1300 Good Hope Road S.E.
Washington, D.C. 20020

If you are a pastor, ministry leader or intercessor/pray-er, we invite you to join with us. Our prayer is that the Lord would "bind us together with love" as we all connect with "Him" and each other.
